All Volunteers will be assigned to a specific job. We will attempt to honor your job selection, but your final assignment will be determined by G Fest. To ensure that everyone is still committed to their position you will be asked at various points leading up to the festival to confirm online that you have received info and are still committed to showing up for your shifts. As part of your application you’ll be able to select which job you are most interested in working on. While we can’t guarantee you’ll get your first choice, we will do our best to get you a job that fills your interest.
Be on time for shift check-in and work assignments. Plan enough time for transportation to and from Hatbox Concert Bowl. You’ll be taken from check in location by a staff member to where you are going to be working.
Check in at Volunteer Check-in located at the Love Hatbox Dance Hall Building, 530 South 40th Street. Check in for your volunteer shift at least 30 minutes prior to your shift starting time. Failure to do so will result in a no-show status.
All G Team Volunteers are required to be on time, SOBER, and wearing appropriate clothing for their shift.
Always wear your G Team Shirt when you’re working and be sure to wear something else when you are not. We don’t want to confuse someone who’s supposed to be working with someone who isn’t.
Work your entire shift. If released by the team leader or stage manager, check in with the volunteer team leader at Volunteer Check-in for reassignment during your shift.
Notify the volunteer team leader immediately if there are any changes in your availability to work your assigned shift once the festival begins.
Be familiar with volunteer job descriptions and guidelines.
Attend the volunteer training session prior to the festival (preferable) or on-site during the festival. Pre-festival training opportunities for your job assignment will be emailed to you.
Make arrangements for child care prior to arriving on duty. Children are not allowed to accompany their parents to work. Minimum age requirement for the G Team is 18 years old.
No one is permitted backstage without proper credentials
The First Aid tent is located near the entrance
Restrooms are located throughout the festival grounds
Emergency contact phone number during the festival is 918 616 9606
Your application does not guarantee you a spot on the G Team Crew. If you are chosen for a job and have already purchased a ticket, sorry, we cannot refund your money.
Please Note: We do receive many more applications than we have Volunteer spots, so we cannot, unfortunately, guarantee anyone a place. Our 2016 Volunteers will have first opportunity to volunteer again this year.
